Our second annual back to school festival was everything we could have dreamt it to be, and it is all thanks to you. You the non-profit organization that partnered with us for the second time to supply children with brand new shoes to bounce into their schools with. You the barber that donated their time and skill to making all the difference in a child’s self-esteem as they begin a new school year. You the nail tech that donated their time and talent to making little girls feel special as they get to begin the new school year with a professional manicure. You the volunteer that came out to be a part of something bigger than yourself and with the best attitude while doing so. You the Bishop who lent your resources to our team so that we could have a space to fill the backpacks for our wonderful kids. You the young entertainer who brought the kids around you abounding joy through the infectious nature of your talent. One of the best parts of our organization is how many people dedicate their precious energy, hard work, and most importantly time to a cause that is at the very core of our organization. At our 2022 Make a Kid Ready festival, we were able to give out 100 backpacks again! Along with providing live entertainment, food, nail painting, hair cuts, face painting, and most importantly FUN for our kids in the dwindling days of summer. We could not be more thankful to each and every individual who made this event possible. More specifically, we would like to thank the Sole Bros for coming out and providing brand new shoes for the children who attended our event. We would also like to thank our nail tech Alleson for painting nails and conversating with our children for more well over three hours. We would also like to thank and send a big shoutout to our barbers, Danny, D1FF hair studio, Dou, Keven, Lee John Jr., Uptown Vibes, and Will for dedicating your talent to our kids. Thank you to Bishop Chance of Kingdom Ministries House of Prayer for letting us use your space and offering your fellowship. Thank you to Nino the child entertainer who came out to wow the crowd for another year, we are your biggest fans! Thank you to each and every volunteer that made our event possible. Thank you so very much to our donors for equipping us with the resources necessary to ensure that every student we had sign up would be prepared for school. And thank you to the parents, guardians, friends of family and more who registered your children for sponsorship. The trust you have given us to serve your children is priceless, and we are so thankful.
